Is this an official WhatsApp integration?

Yes. Alumnipad uses Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform. Your association connects its own WhatsApp Business number, and messages outside a member’s 24-hour reply window use templates approved by Meta.

Can we add Alumnipad to our existing WhatsApp groups?

No. Meta’s official platform sends messages to individual members, not into existing groups. Keep your groups for conversation and use Alumnipad for official announcements, invitations and reminders.

What can the WhatsApp assistant answer?

Questions about your association, how to join, upcoming events, the latest notices, a member’s own membership status and searches of the member directory.

Do members have to opt in?

Yes. Members can opt out at any time by replying STOP and opt back in with START; Alumnipad records their choice.
